Dr. Cindy’s journey into the world of wagging tails and purring patients started at Morehead State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biology and an Associate’s in Veterinary Technology. She then followed her passion to The Ohio State University, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 (Go Buckeyes!). Originally from Beavercreek, OH, she traded in the Midwest for sweet tea and Southern charm, landing in Raleigh in 2009. In 2018, her dream became reality with the opening of Peak City Vet in Apex — a place where Care, Compassion, and Community come together under one roof (and yes, there are plenty of treats involved).
What gets Dr. Cindy out of bed (besides coffee and her dog’s wet noses) is her passion for making a difference, no matter how big or small. Whether she’s snuggling puppies during wellness visits or helping rescue cases find their happy endings, her goal is simple: to create a positive impact and ensure pets and their people feel right at home.
Speaking of home, Dr. Cindy shares hers with Loki, her lovable pitbull sidekick, and Joy, an adorable pocket pittie who lives up to her name every single day. Her pups have taught her more about unconditional love (and patience!) than any textbook ever could. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll probably find her breaking a sweat at the gym, cheering on Ohio State football (O..H…!), catching a live concert, planning her next travel adventure, or exploring the great outdoors with Loki and Joy in tow. She also has a not-so-secret obsession with dark chocolate Reese’s Cups (seriously, hide them) and a hidden talent for sniffing out the best local coffee shops — a true latte connoisseur on a never-ending quest for the perfect cup.
Dr. Cindy’s heart beats for rescue missions, holistic pet care, and building lifelong connections with the pets and families she serves. So, whether your fur-baby needs a simple check-up or some extra TLC, you can count on Dr. Cindy to be there — tail wags and all!

Dr. Victoria “Vicki” Rademacher, the dynamo of all things furry and fabulous! Armed with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the illustrious Michigan State University in 2016 (Go Spartans!). She completed a rotating internship after graduation at Veterinary Specialty Hospital (now Blue Pearl) in Cary, North Raleigh, and Durham, NC locations. Vicki is on a mission to spread joy, health, and heaps of love to every critter she meets.
With a passion for behavioral and preventative medicine, Vicki is the ultimate advocate for the unbreakable bond between pets and their devoted humans. Whether it’s teaching Fido a new trick or ensuring Fluffy’s tail wags with delight, Vicki’s expertise knows no bounds. Hailing from the charming shores of Rhode Island (sans the “classic” accent, mind you), Vicki’s love affair with animals started in her aunt’s backyard, where she first discovered the exhilarating world of canine competitive sports. From agility to obedience, Vicki and her furry companions have conquered it all, racking up trophies faster than a greyhound chasing a rabbit! She has participated in agility, junior showmanship, confirmation, obedience, and hunting/field trials. She began training her Irish Setter “Poppy” in agility, junior showmanship, and obedience. She participated in field trials with her aunt’s Flat-coated Retrievers earning Master Hunter titles. Prior to veterinary school, she was training her Shetland Sheepdog “Kipp” in agility with hopes of trying out for the AKC World Team. However, veterinary school got in the way! Her biggest accomplishments have been earning multiple High In Trials with her Irish Setter “Poppy”, Highest Scoring Junior at the Flat-coated Retriever Nationals with her aunt’s dog “Tyma”, and Master of Agility Championship with her Shetland Sheepdog “Trendi”.
When she’s not busy saving the day in the veterinary world, you’ll find Vicki indulging her inner foodie, jet-setting to far-flung destinations, or embarking on epic hiking adventures with her beloved husband, Marcus, and their dynamic duo of Shetland sheepdog sidekicks, Cosmic and Nova.

Callie Ward likes to say she didn’t choose veterinary medicine—it chose her (or maybe she just tripped and fell right into it!) After working in human medicine and moving to North Carolina for a fresh start, she decided to go back to her roots—literally—since she spent her high school days wrangling cows as a large animal veterinary assistant. Her love for medical science and helping people made the transition to vet med a perfect fit. A veterinary hospital took a chance on her as a client service representative, and 11 years later, she’s still here—loving the job more and more every day (seriously, they can’t get rid of her). Callie has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with a minor in Business Management—because why settle for just one thing? Her true passion is teaching—whether it’s showing clients how to keep their furry friends healthy or guiding her team with the patience of a saint (and maybe a little caffeine). When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her reading, eating her way through life, and soaking up every minute with her family, which includes her three adorable dogs (Annabelle, Ethel, and Lucy), her cat Theodore Roosevelt (yes, he’s presidential), and her favorite human, her son Shea. Her guilty pleasure? Bad reality TV. The worse, the better. She’s fully invested and completely unapologetic.

A passionate animal lover on a mission to make a difference for pets and their people. Following a childhood calling, Danielle pursued a tech degree from Miller-Motte College and now dedicates her days to providing top-notch veterinary care—especially when it comes to dentistry. She treats every patient as if they were her own, working hard to earn the trust of pet owners who love their fur babies just as much as she does.
When she’s not caring for animals, Danielle is soaking up time with her family: her son Colton, Darius, and their lively crew of pets, including five dogs (Dapper, Franklin, Zena, Lucy, Nipsey), five cats (Pixie, Skittles, Mushu, Cri-Kee, Olaf), and a sugar glider. Secret talent? She’s musically gifted (though her sugar glider prefers to keep it a secret). If she could borrow one animal trait for humans, it’d be the pure luxury of a life without bills, politics, or financial worries—because honestly, don’t we all deserve to live like pampered pets?

Merina’s love for animals began as soon as she could hold something in her tiny hands—whether it was a bug, a frog, or a stray kitten that needed rescuing. Growing up, she was the neighborhood wildlife rehabber, bottle feeder of orphaned kittens, and all-around animal savior. Her passion led her to the University of San Francisco (USF), where she earned a bachelor’s in Animal Biology and solidified her mission to make a difference in the lives of pets and their humans.
When she’s not busy being a real-life Dr. Doolittle, Merina enjoys hiking, exploring parks, playing with her pack of dogs and cats, and thrifting (her ultimate guilty pleasure). She shares her home with an adorable zoo: Kevin the turtle, dogs Ziggy, Buckeye, Ares, and Hades, and cats Sienna, Stella, Autumn, and Nike. Every one of them adds a little chaos and a lot of love to her life.
Merina’s partner Trevor is her biggest supporter, and together they’re preparing for their next big adventure—welcoming their first baby in June! Between her growing family and her ever-expanding love for animals, Merina lives a life full of joy, passion, and maybe a bit of fur on her thrifted treasures.

Jamie’s journey into vet med was a happy accident—what started as a customer service interview turned into a kennel attendant offer, and he’s never looked back! With a passion for management and team building, Jamie thrives on the camaraderie that comes with working alongside dedicated animal lovers. While caring for pets is rewarding, seeing happy clients and building strong team bonds is what truly lights him up.
When Jamie’s not at the clinic, you can catch him glued to fantasy football stats, laughing at live stand-up shows, or sharpening skills at firearms training. A gamer at heart, he loves diving into PlayStation and Switch adventures. He also loves creating fun, scroll-stopping content for social media at Peak City Vet, showing off the adorable patients and behind-the-scenes moments that make the clinic special (bonus points if Buddy makes a cameo).
Jamie’s heart belongs to Buddy, his 4-year-old Shih-Tzu with a backstory worthy of a movie. After being surrendered to the ER with a severe jaw injury, Buddy went home as a “temporary” foster—three days later, Jamie was officially a foster fail, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
If Jamie could have any animal superpower? Hands down, Buddy’s selective hearing—able to detect a treat bag opening from miles away but suddenly “deaf” when asked to sit before a walk.

Chris’s journey into veterinary medicine started with two big passions: staying rooted in science and making a difference—all while loving on some animals, of course. With an associate degree in Applied Science and Arts from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and two bachelor’s degrees (Biochemistry and Animal Science) from NC State, she’s as dedicated as they come. For Chris, the beauty of her work is knowing she might not change the world, but she can change someone’s world—and that’s more than enough.
When she’s not busy saving lives or solving problems, Chris is a globe-trotter who’s checked off 24 countries (and counting!). She’s also a foodie who loves trying new cuisines, often inspired by her adventures. Her home is full of charm thanks to her furry and floppy-eared family: cats Paris and Tarha, and Holland Lop bunnies Everest and Potato.
Chris’s guilty pleasure? Trader Joe’s chocolate milk and binge-watching travel vlogs, often dreaming up her next big trip. If she had one magical veterinary wish, it’d be to eliminate kidney disease in cats—because no cat deserves to deal with that.
Whether she’s in the clinic, hopping on a plane, or cuddling her adorable pets, Chris is living proof that science, compassion, and a little chocolate milk can go a long way.

Deb found her calling in veterinary medicine thanks to her lifelong love for animals and her fascination with the science behind their care. For her, the best part is connecting with pets and their families, forming relationships that make every day rewarding.
When she’s not at the clinic, Deb’s creativity comes alive through her love of arts and crafts, music, and epic game nights—whether it’s board games or video games. She treasures time with her family, including her husband, her young son, and their regal Irish Wolfhound, Nox, who is queen of the household (and a bit of a snuggle magnet).
Deb’s secret talent? She’s a master of music and movie trivia—good luck beating her in a showdown! If she could magically fix one animal health issue, it’d be aging, because our furry friends deserve to stick around forever. And if Nox had a nickname for her, it’d be “Unrelenting Snuggler,” a title Deb proudly embraces.
From crafting to cuddling to making a difference in the clinic, Deb’s life is all about joy, creativity, and her deep love for animals and their humans.
