Dr. Cindy’s journey into the world of wagging tails and purring patients started at Morehead State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biology and an Associate’s in Veterinary Technology. She then followed her passion to The Ohio State University, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 (Go Buckeyes!). Originally from Beavercreek, OH, she traded in the Midwest for sweet tea and Southern charm, landing in Raleigh in 2009. In 2018, her dream became reality with the opening of Peak City Vet in Apex — a place where Care, Compassion, and Community come together under one roof (and yes, there are plenty of treats involved).

What gets Dr. Cindy out of bed (besides coffee and her dog’s wet noses) is her passion for making a difference, no matter how big or small. Whether she’s snuggling puppies during wellness visits or helping rescue cases find their happy endings, her goal is simple: to create a positive impact and ensure pets and their people feel right at home.

Speaking of home, Dr. Cindy shares hers with Loki, her lovable pitbull sidekick, and Joy, an adorable pocket pittie who lives up to her name every single day. Her pups have taught her more about unconditional love (and patience!) than any textbook ever could. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll probably find her breaking a sweat at the gym, cheering on Ohio State football (O..H…!), catching a live concert, planning her next travel adventure, or exploring the great outdoors with Loki and Joy in tow. She also has a not-so-secret obsession with dark chocolate Reese’s Cups (seriously, hide them) and a hidden talent for sniffing out the best local coffee shops — a true latte connoisseur on a never-ending quest for the perfect cup.

Dr. Cindy’s heart beats for rescue missions, holistic pet care, and building lifelong connections with the pets and families she serves. So, whether your fur-baby needs a simple check-up or some extra TLC, you can count on Dr. Cindy to be there — tail wags and all!
